All About Bitmain
When Bitcoin made its debut in 2009, no one thought it would spring up an industrial revolution of cryptocurrencies. I mean Bitcoin started for as low 1$ but today it’s worth over $40,000. It gained so much popularity and relevance that everyone wanted in on it, and it led to the existence of other coins. This was all thanks to the ease of transactions and decentralization of the coin. As the need for the coin grew, so did the need for miners, her companies like Bitmain stepped up and began to manufacture ASIC Miners.
Let’s talk about Bitmain
Bitmain is one of the leaders and pioneers in the production of bitcoin mining equipment like ASIC miners. They have an amazing reputation for building nothing but high-quality and long-lasting mining products. They also produce a mass variety of products from small USB devices to the even more sophisticated S series.
The company has its headquarters in Beijing China and was founded by two friends named Micree Zhan and Jihan Wu in the year 2013. They both came from working normal jobs to producing one of the top manufacturing companies in the world. Jihan Wu worked as a financial analyst and fund manager, a job he started after graduating from Peking University with double majors in economics and psychology. He then went on to launch a blockchain website known as 8BTC in 2011 before working on Bitmain. Micree Zhan ran a startup that helped its users their television to a computer screen, the company was named DivalP.
What seemed like a small start-up in 2013 soon grew to be a leading power in ASIC production. In 2018, Bitmain became the world's biggest designer and manufacturer of ASIC chips. They also owned subsidiary mining companies, BTC.com and Antpool, which are also one of the biggest mining companies. In the first quarter of 2018, they turned up a profit of over 700 million dollars, which grew to billion dollars in the second quarter of that year. The Antminer S1 was the first of the S series to be made by the company. It was an ASIC miner that produces 180GH/s while using between 80 to 200 watts of power. It was a hit and generated a lot of revenue and paved the way for future success. By 2018 Bitmain already had 11 mining farms in China and a staff of over 5000. Over time, however, profits began to dwindle which led to the laying off of some staff and the selling of some farms due to the shutting down of most foreign operations thanks to the crackdown on cryptocurrency.
They made use of easy hashnet software. If you need great mining software, then Bitmain is the company for you.
Some of their products include ANTMINER S19 XP, ANTMINER S19 PRO +S9D, and the ANTSPACE HK3. They are a reputable company with quality products.
